The miracle of life has been born into the world...

Changing YOUR world forever. Let me help capture those little fingers, little toes, little lips & nose. By documenting these precious little details during their first few weeks of life they'll become unforgettable.

Newborn babies are best captured 1-3 weeks after birth, and bookings are best made while pregnant. Two tentative bookings will be made, two weeks apart (to cover early/late arrivals), and you can contact me to secure either session after baby is born. My dates and times for newborns are fully flexible, and I will always do my best to accommodate your personal circumstances.

  • Due to home renovations, unfortunately my studio is not currently available, although I am still offering in home (lifestyle) sessions. These sessions are more simplistic than studio, focussing more on natural and unposed imagery.
  • PERK: At no extra cost I'm offering to supply select posing baskets, swaddles, props and small backdrops to bring the studio to you!! Family portraits will still be captured with your home as the backdrop - these can be done in a yard area or inside.
  • I have an extensive range of newborn posing baskets, wraps & layers, backdrops and props.
  • Newborn sessions are styled in collaboration with you, and I'm happy to personalise it to your taste. If there is something you would like included (keepsake blanket, traditional or something sentimental) I will do my best to include and style appropriately.
  • My sessions are infant led, meaning time will be guided by them to ensure we capture everything we need. Sessions usually range from 1-3 hours. All babies are different, but you can have peace of mind in knowing that there will be plenty of time for feeds, changing and cuddles!
  • Sneak peeks will be delivered within 48 hours of session and a full selection gallery is usually delivered within 7-14 days.
  • All final galleries have the option to purchase additional images or upgrade in full.
  • All bookings will require a 20% deposit. T&C’s apply.

In-home session tips:

  • I provide free, in-home consults to advise on styling and best areas to utilise during your session.
  • Rooms of use: Usually main living areas, main bedroom and baby nursery. Wherever natural light is most plentiful.
  • Home presentation is everything. Ensure home is as clean/tidy as possible. De-clutter/wipe surfaces, and clean floors. Make beds. Have rooms of use prepared/styled prior to session. I will not come in on the day to re-design/place/move items. How your home presents, is how it will look.
  • Tips: Lighter coloured and complimenting accessories (think cushions/bed linen etc) create a light/airy/simplistic vibe and allows the focus to be on your family. A purple cushion in the background might be only thing that detracts from a whole gallery of images. Try to plan in advance. Perhaps try to source (even borrow) some items to help give your home some perzazz!
  • Pets: By all means, have the fur babies in photos - they are a part of your family. But ensure that they are friendly to strangers (me) and when comes the time, that they can be restrained or put outside/in a different space when they are no longer required.
  • Clothing choices: Always choose comfort first but remember that this session can only happen once (in a lifetime literally). Similar to your interior space, it's important that you get it right the first time. Neutral tones or block/plain colours work well. Avoid bold colours, patterns, logos or revealing clothing so the real focus remains on your newborn/family. Try to have each member of your family compliment each other instead of matching (although matching is still ok - with kids especially).
