What locations do you recommend?
I have a few unique spots I like to shoot, but locally, the arboretum, Kal-tails (behind KCGM), Karkurla bushland park and two up sheds are good locations. The dunes (15mins from town) and other more distant locations will attract a travel fee.
What time of the day is best?
Golden hour, or the hour before sunset is ideal for light, or early morning. Direct sunlight can be harsh and cast unwanted shadows.
Do I pay a deposit?
Yes. A non-refundable 20% deposit will be required to secure bookings. Invoices and T&C's will be provided upon request of bookings.
What if I need to cancel?
I will always make best efforts to accommodate others' needs, but booking deposit will be forfeited if the session cannot be rescheduled. Please check your T&C's (sent upon booking).
Are your package prices final?
Yes. All packages on this website and their stated inclusions are final. Additional images and gallery upgrades are extra and will be quoted individually. If extra time is required at a session for any reason, this will be discussed and agreed upon in person, at the time.
What do I wear?
I prefer lighter or neutral colour tones as they contrast beautifully with our rich landscape. Bearing this in mind, dress for comfort first and try to wear colours that complement members in your session. Please limit caps, sunglasses or loud clothing choices with brand names or logos. Decent footwear is recommended to protect feet, although I may ask you to remove them.
What if my kids misbehave?
Kids will be kids. I try my best to make my sessions fun for kids. I also have treats to hand out at the end of my sessions. If you can plan a reward in advance, so the kids know what you expect, this usually does the trick. I have kids though, so I get it!
What if I'm late?
Unfortunately, late arrivals will result in time being deducted from sessions. Please ensure you're at least 5 minutes early.
How long does it take to get my photos?
Time varies, but I usually have a selection gallery to you within 7 days. I will always let you know what the ETA is on delivery.
Do I own my photos?
Yes you do. However, EKC Photography still owns the copyright to your photos. Once your final gallery has been delivered, you're free to use, share and print them at your free will.
